A Life Dedicated to the Mountains
Born in Thame, Nepal, Kami Rita initially aimed for a different path. However, due to limited educational opportunities, he turned to mountain guiding, a profession his father and brothers also held. Despite the inherent risks, Kami Rita now finds joy in the challenge.
Family’s Concerns vs. Unwavering Passion
While his wife Lakpa Jangmu celebrates his achievements, she worries about the dangers involved. She encourages him to explore other options, but Kami Rita remains dedicated to his passion. Their children, however, will not follow in their father’s footsteps due to the risks associated with mountain climbing.
