In Nepal, you will also find the practice of variant religions. There are places that carry the cultural significance of each religion. Janakpur holds a huge significance for the Hindu religion as it is the birthplace of Goddess Sita. Sagarmatha National Park

Sagarmatha National Park is a natural reserve that was officially established in 1976. However, people were visiting the place even before the 1960s. Sagarmatha National Park is a wildlife reserve that is famous for its location. The national park is in the spotlight as it has beautiful trekking and hiking trails. Some of the other peaks seen from the national park are Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Pumori, and Kwangde. Sagarmatha is home to many rare species like the Red Panda and snow leopard. It also has a bird sanctuary with rare species of birds too.

The city of Dharan is located near the border of the Indian subcontinent. Dharan is one of the biggest pilgrimages in Nepal and is famous for being the gateway to the Mahabharata Hills. It is known as the “Mini Brazil” as it is the center of football in Nepal. Dharan is lively with many activities to do like golfing, picnicking at Raja Rani, driving to the Bhedetar hill, etc. There are many many religious places in Dharan too. The temples and monasteries are very beautiful. You will find many pubs and restaurants in Dharan as well.

Mustang is divided into two parts- upper mustang and lower mustang. Mustang is gaining popularity due to its various trekking expeditions. It is located at an altitude of 3840 km. in Mustang you can witness the rich Tibetan culture as it is close to the Tibetan plateau. You can also experience a Nepalese lifestyle in a timber or tea house. It is known as ‘Mini Tibet in Nepal’ because it has an uncountable number of caves, monasteries, Tibetan shrines, and small villages with huge Tibetan influence. Mustang is also famous for apple orchards.
